How I got here
I first heard about positive psychology back in 2008. Thanks to my gifts of curiosity and love of learning, I found myself researching it in my spare time and reading anything I could get my hands on about it. But it wasn’t until I started actually using the tools I’d been reading about and doing the work—like creating a gratitude habit, developing self-compassion, and practicing forgiveness—that I realized the power of these learned skills to really change my mindset and, ultimately, change my life.
Once I understood that, I wanted to share it with others.
Today
Today, I am a certified Positive Psychology Coach through the Wholebeing Institute. I spend my time helping people just like you create more joy in their work, lives, and relationships using science-based activities that foster mental health and overall wellbeing.
When I’m not coaching (or reading about positive psychology) you can find me enjoying the great outdoors with my backpack, bike, or cross-country skis (depending on the weather) often with a book, knitting needles, or my tennis racquet in my hands--and sometimes, all three!
Other fun facts….
My top strengths are love, love of learning, curiosity, and humor. These show up in so many ways, but especially in my coaching.
I am also a certified Laughter Yoga Leader. (It’s a real thing! Ask me about it sometime.)
Stories about time loops and parallel universes fascinate me.
When I was little, I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up.
My first career was as a pharmacist, followed by over 20 years in the clinical research industry.
