What’s it all about?

You already know that physical health and mental health go hand in hand. But did you know that over the past 30 years, neuroscientists, psychologists, and researchers have identified several keys to enhancing our mental health and happiness in ways that can improve not only our own overall wellbeing but that of our families, workplace, and our communities as well?

Over the next 6 weeks, you’re invited to explore a few of these keys to wellbeing with me and discover for yourself some tools to help you bring more joy to your life…yes, even during a pandemic!

What will we cover?

Week 1: Mindfulness

Week 2: Gratitude

Week 3: Empathy and Compassion

Week 4: Forgiveness

Week 5: Altruism

Week 6: Happiness

How will it work?

Every Monday I’ll post a short video with some background from the positive psychology research on the week’s topic. Then, every few days I’ll post another video with some ideas to help you bring more of that wellbeing key into your life …it might be a journal prompt, a game, a link to a video, or some other activity for you to try.  

All of these activities are 100% optional!  

Now, just because the research says this exercise or that activity helped people in their study find more happiness or joy or wellbeing doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to work for everyone. That’s why each week I’ll offer a variety of different things to try. Think of it as a tasting menu…try them all and see what feels good to YOU.  

Then, at the end of the week, we’ll all get together over Zoom to talk about how the week went for everyone…what worked, what didn’t, share tips and tricks, and just connect with others like you who are looking for a more joy!

Everyone who participates in the course will receive a free 1-hour 1:1 coaching session with me. We can talk about one of the concepts you learned in the course, a goal you’d like work on, or something completely new!

How can I join?

That’s where I’ll post all the videos and handouts and where members can chat and share thoughts about the course. Not a Facebook user? Not a problem!! You’ll still get all the videos and handouts, and you’ll still get to join our weekly Zoom call. You just won’t be able to take part in the online discussion forum.
